I have tried a few meditation exercises and found they were good while I was doing the exercise but after I would end up back were I was before hand....that and a lot of the time I would get so relaxed I was asleep for a few hours!

As in a group thingy - I think that would be cool. I was doing a placement in a day centre for people with mental health difficulties and got some from there for anxiety and did them myself.

Energy....mmmm yeah like waking from a deep sleep, but not like your going to run for miles

It does get easier, try not to fall asleep and it will benefit you more. In class today we did an exercise to close your eyes for time minutes and just focus on your breathing and when your mind wonders bring it back to focus on your breathing, it was harder then I thought as my mind kept wondering!

Yeah did that last week too. Did an exercise where we put any thoughts into a box and lock it. I found that really helpful for getting my thoughts to feck off!

Oh i'm doin' that as part of the mindfulness too. Havent done it yet though - Did pilates - that was brilliant. Why're you nervous? I'd say yoga'll be really good and relaxing!

Didn't get to my yoga class today as had an emergency meeting in college! I am always nervous of people watching me, I have in my head that people are always judging my weight!

Oh tell me about it!
I literally think about nothing else. 24/7 I'm worrying about it.
Actually joined the gym 4 times in the last 5 years and there's only one of those gyms i went to more than once (3 times) because it was nearly empty. I feel your pain!
Ah Yoga shouldnt be too bad tho'.
I'm sure people will be focusing on themselves most of the time.
I used to stay at the back corner for pilates so nobody'd take any notice of me. Try doing that if yur nervous. And you probably dont show up too early or late to things which is good cos people wont pay attention to ya then.

^ Ya i did yoga a few times this year, found it quite good.

Just havent been in months due to me sleeping in, or if i have other stuff to do the day its on.

I would like to try pilates though, heard its more physical than yoga?

I took up athletics again during the summer - ran an 8 km and 10km race. I've hung up my running shoes for the winter though!! Smile

God id love to be able to run - but ya have to go outdoors for that! :-/ Still, if my knee didnt give way everytime i tried id probably do it!

Yeah pilates is a wee bit more intense than yoga. It involves a lot of pulsy movements. I loved it. Really would reccommend trying that if ya get the opportunity!

I started running today, my god I am unfit but as I am taking up basketball and hopefully soccer and tag rugby I need to get fit real fast! I went to coole park where no one is about so I wasn't worried about others seeing me ever though I did run past someone and felt like dying!
