i dont know ? im kinda facing facts that my SA cant be helped, so im tryin to come to terms with just dealing with it : ( , how long have u had SA ??

my whole life. not hugely extreme particularly anymore as i have had counselling for other issues which directly affect my SA but I have found myself slipping back into old habbits...its a shame as I am not actually shy or quiet but i work very hard to avoid situations which cause my anxiety which hinders my personal life alot.

And yourself? whats your history with SA?

i got it when i was 20/21 , i think it was caused from bullyin and drugs, before that i was really out going, confident and could get along with anyone. these days i kinda dread going out to certain places ( pub, busy shops, family events). i tried an anxiety treatment therapy but quit after 4 weeks, i dont feel like it could have helped. so now im kinda gonna try and sort it out alone, if dats possible.

yeah I think drugs caused it to worsen for me, between the panic and harsh reality when you are not on drugs i think it leaves a lasting effect. unfortunately i now drink alot to cover it up. which works on nights out to a point but i am fully aware how bad and dependant it is!!

I doubt that anyone ever gets out of this but due to conselling experience i think that there must be a learned technique to control it but unfortunately counselling is a luxure that i cannot afford - unless i give up smoking and, well, there is more chance of me giving up my first born so....

i see there is quiet a few from Tipp here which is both cool and terrifying as im originally from tipp too

i think its the lack of sea air, were all gone mad, lol.
drink is 50/50 with me. sometimes i could go out and have a great laugh, then other times i could get depressed and really self concious after it. its a gamble really. so now i dont drink that much at all.
when u say give up smoking , do u mean wacky backy or ciggs ?? lol.

cigs, jaysus the wacky baccy just turns me into a mess these days lol, goddamnit wheres my youth gone

wacky backy is prob cheaper dan ciggs dese days . im on the dole atm and the tings are costing me over 50 euro a week. bloody expensive habit. but ya cant beat a cup of coffee and a cigg 1st ting in the morning !!

i hear you sir - first thing at morning and 6 more times throughout the day. coffee, your my hero!!

im actually working but earning less that what I would have been if i had went on the dole after i lost my last job with rent allowance etc, sickend...wish i could loose this bloody job grr!
