Would you?
Aye, every other forum has a thread like this, so I canney see any harm in us doing the same.
Would you have a relationship with someone who has SA?
But just to make it a wee bit more interesting here... Also say whether you have already or not.

Re: Would you?
I much prefer being with extroverts: it's easier to fade in the background. All my relationships (friends and others) have always been with sociable, outgoing people. They act as a sort of crutch for me, and I think that for them, I'm unthreatening (I certainly won't try to take the limelight!), so we all benefit!

Re: Would you?
I''ve never been in one, but yeah i would. I can't see how that would put me off in the slightest.
Re: Would you?
Ya sure why not? I think it would be hyprocritical to rule someone out because of SA. Also they would be more understanding towards your feelings (i would hope). Also someone said something about preferring to be with extroverts; well SA doesnt define your personality type, i know people who are extroverts and have SA, but i am an introvert with SA, i dont know which is worse!

Re: Would you?
again i tend to be attracted to extroverts but as said above, that doesnt exclude extroverts from having SA.
I don't think it would put me off, if anything it could be of great support to have someone understanding as long as you can both push yourselves to do things out side of the comfort zone and support eachother as much as possible. the bad side would be if you both become completely introverted as a result and it could cause dependancy issues - however these are all things that can happen SA or no SA....damn good question!!

Damn straight!
Also,
In my opinion it'd probably be more understandable to not be with someone with swineflu - and even thats not really understandable.
Both are disabilities to some extent, but what can your partners SA do to affect you?
I'd be in a relationship with myself sure! [if i was blind]
Some of the traits SA-ers have;
-find it hard to lie.
-wont be flirting with everything that moves
-understanding
We're cool.
Re: Would you?

Re: Would you?
i dunno - just in general. Cant lie cos i feel guilty - or admit to lyin' two seconds later - hence why i avoid the mother as much as i can!
Re: Would you?
Just realised that i never answered this question!
I certainly would. I think it would be really nice to go out with someone who could understand your SA and you could be there for her, and understand what they're going through as well.
SA has always been the one thing that I've been most keen to hide from the girls I've gone out with, and it always left me thinking that they didn't 100% know me. That then usually caused me to just sort of not take the relationship seriously enough.
But if I was going out with a really nice girl who had SA, then you could sort of tell each other everything, instead of having to hide an aspect of your personality. So surely that would help you get closer to the person. Which is the most important thing...
Aye, shut up Gary, this answer is waaay too long. "Yes" is my answer!
